Glenview Christian School was founded in 1972 as a ministry of Glenview Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. The school now serves over 200 hundred students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12th grade with a staff and faculty of nearly thirty The school is equipped to facilitate two sections of each grade level. GCS operates on a budget that is funded by tuition alone. All annual operating expenses are covered by the tuition and fees collected during the school year. Extra budget items are provided through gifts and donations from school families and friends and from Parent Teacher Fellowship fundraising projects. Glenview Baptist Church provides the school facility.

Academically, we strive to assist each student in developing his God-given physical, mental, and artistic gifts to his fullest potential. We work to involve the teacher, the students, and the parent in this process. Academic excellence is sought through a curriculum that is reinforced and integrated with God's truth and through high standards of proficiency under-girded with a strong system of accountability which promotes the development of responsibility in students. Our curriculum addresses the different learning styles and ability levels of students. Emphasis is placed on teaching that utilizes a multi-sensory approach which affords students opportunities to learn in their own particular styles. The development of study and organizational skills are addressed as well. Our desire is that students will be prepared for Godly participation in families, in high schools, in extra-curricular activities, in churches, and ultimately in American society.
